What does the color grade mean?
A diamond's color is one of the most important factors for its visual appearance and value. The less color a white diamond contains, the rarer and more sought-after it is.
The most exclusive diamonds appear crystal clear and colorless, which gives a clean, elegant expression and allows light to pass optimally through the stone. The result is a diamond with exceptional brilliance and life.
The D–Z Color Scale
To create an international standard, the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) developed the renowned color scale from D to Z.
- D – Completely colorless (the highest color grade)
- E–F – Colorless
- G–H – Nearly colorless
- I–Z – Gradually warmer or yellowish hues
Even small differences in color grade can affect a diamond's rarity and value. For most, the difference between D-E-F is impossible to see with the naked eye, but both categories represent diamonds in the absolute top class.
Which colors does ARA STORM offer?
At ARA STORM, we never compromise on quality.
Therefore, we exclusively offer laboratory-grown diamonds with a color grade between D, E, or F – the most sought-after categories on the international color scale.
This means you get a diamond with a clean, clear, and colorless appearance, where light is optimally reflected, creating the characteristic brilliance that makes a diamond truly special.
We believe that a timeless piece of jewelry deserves a diamond that retains its elegance for generations.
What about colored diamonds?
Colored diamonds are evaluated on a completely different scale than white diamonds.
Here, it is not the absence of color, but rather the color's intensity, purity, and uniformity that determines the diamond's value.
One of the great advantages of laboratory-grown diamonds is that the natural minerals that create rare colors can be controlled during the growth process. This makes it possible to produce spectacular hues such as Fancy Pink, Fancy Yellow, and Fancy Green, while the stone has the same optical, chemical, and physical properties as a natural diamond.
